What happens to the
$40 deposit if I leave the Pointe Shoe
Reserve?
*When you decide to leave the Pointe Shoe
Reserve, your $40 deposit is applied as a
credit to the last pair of shoes that we
have reserved for you. Here are
examples showing how this works.
Sandra joined the
Pointe Shoe Reserve two years ago.
The shoe that she reserved sold for $60.
She decided that she could not continue to
dance while going to college. She
had one pair of shoes in the Pointe Shoe
Reserve and contacted us telling us that
she wanted to leave the Pointe Shoe
Reserve. We applied her $40 deposit
to the pair that we had reserved for her, she paid us $20
balance and received the shoe.
She was no longer in the club. If
Sandra decided that she did not want to
pay the $20 and get the last pair, we
would have kept the shoe and taken her out
of the Pointe Shoe Reserve. Her $40
would not be refunded in that case.
Molly was in the
Pointe Shoe Reserve and had selected a shoe
that she wanted us to reserve for her.
She found another shoe that she liked
better than the one that she had in
reserve and told us that she wanted to
change to another shoe. She could
pay for the shoe being currently held, she
would then get that shoe, and
we would change her reserve shoe to
her new selection. If she did not
want to pay for the shoe in reserve, she
would forfeit the $40 deposit and we would
keep that shoe. She could then
enroll again in the Pointe Shoe Reserve
with a new $40 deposit.
I have dance camps and the Nutcracker so I need more than one pair at times. How
do I get more shoes?
Contact us and we will advise you on
the availability of the additional pairs
that you are requesting. You would
need to pay in advance for each pair the
you order that is not in the reserve.
The prices would be the same as the Pointe
Shoe Reserve price and shipping would be
free.
Do you guarantee
that I will have my shoes when I need
them? When we notify you that we
have received your shoe, but you have not
told us that you wanted it, you can count
on our having that pair of shoes for you.
However, we could have delays in getting
the replacement shoe. The availability of
the shoes is dependent on the
manufacturer. If our supplier is out
of stock, we have to wait for them to ship
to us. There may be delays in our getting
the shoes that you are not aware of
because you had not requested the reserved
shoe before the manufacturer ships out
delayed products. In any case, you
are far ahead in line of those who want
the shoe that you requested.
How new are the
shoes that you have reserved for me? When
you order from those big name web sites,
there is no telling how long your shoes
have been on their shelves before being
shipped to you. Maybe those shoes
have already been tried out by someone
else and returned to them. All of
our shoes are ordered directly from the
manufacturer, so you have the most
recently made, never been tried on, new
shoes available.
I don't use any of the brands of pointe shoes that you have listed. Is there any
chance of adding other brands? Yes, but it depends on the response. The best
way is to
email us and tell us the brand
and the shoe that you are wanting. Encourage your friends to do the same and we will
review the demand.
Can I try on the shoe before I purchase it?
If you can drop by Creative Dancewear to
try on the shoes, we would encourage you to do so. Since many of
our customers live outside of the Oklahoma
City area, this may not work out for them.
I am a member of Creative Dancewear's
10% Discount Club.
Do I get additional discounts on the Pointe Shoe
Reserve? This discounts in the
10% for $10 do not apply to the Pointe
Shoe Reserve.
Can I enroll without coming in the store? Yes,
you can enroll by filling out the form at
the top of this page or by phoning us at (405) 843-2545 and
letting us know the brand, style and size
of the pointe shoe that you want us to
carry for you. We will need to charge your credit card $40 to join the
Pointe Shoe Reserve.
Do I pay sales
tax on online orders? If you are
purchasing you shoes in Oklahoma, you pay
an additional sales tax of 8.5%.
Otherwise, you will not pay any sales tax.
How long does it
take to get my shoes mailed to me? The
free shipping is for USPS (US mail first
class). Residence in Oklahoma
usually get their shipment in 1 to 2 days.
Other area of the nation may take up to 5
business days.
I have not
settled on a shoe that I want to use all
of the time so the Pointe Shoe Reserve may
not work for me. Do you have any
other programs for your pointe shoe
customers? Yes, we would
recommend the
Pointe Shoe
Club. The shoes in that program
are not reserved for you, and are limited
to pointe shoes that we have in stock.
Should I join the
Pointe Shoe Reserve? If you have
found a pointe shoe that you like, your
next goal would be to find that shoe.
It would be easy if suppliers always had
your shoe and you knew when you needed it.
Many of you know from experience that it
just doesn't work that way.
Suppliers run out of shoes and there are
delays. By joining the Pointe Shoe
Reserve you are planning ahead. It's
not a fool proof program, but it can be a
life saver. Consider the following
example.
Kate had landed a
lead role in her ballet production.
It wasn't by accident. She had
worked many hours on pointe, and her
selection was a recognition of that
effort. Kate didn't plan on her
pointe shoes giving out. Who knows
when that will happen! So she
contacted her supplier who didn't have her
shoe in stock. Next, she went on
line and they were expecting more stock
"any time now," but Kate didn't have any
time now. She needed them now!
Maybe another shoe would do, but what
could she do? If she were lucky
enough to find the shoe, she might be
faced with another problem. She
needed it now! Next day air would be
more than the shoe, but that's all she
could do. If she had been in the
Pointe Shoe Reserve, she would have a pair
in reserve. A simple purchase on
line and Kate would have the shoes with in
a few days. Relax Kate, you planned
ahead.
If Kate used
multiple shoes in a month, she would have
multiple reserves in the Pointe Shoe
Reserve. We pay the freight for
ground delivery, but air freight shipments
are additional charges.
