Information on approved tap shoes for Oklahoma City University
 

• Shoes listed below are ordered from try on samples at the store from August 8 to August 21, 2010.  Before and after those dates, we sell the shoes off of the shelf with no waiting.  We do this because we have no way to predict how many shoes to buy in a particular size when school begins, and students are not helped if there are no shoes in their size to try on.  Professors usually give you enough time to get your shoes.  In the meanwhile, wear what you have until your shoes arrive.
• When we have multiple shoes in a particular size, we will sell all but the last pair in that size even during the special order period, but we will hold on to the last pair in that particular size and not sell it during the special order period. After August 21st, you can take the shoes with you if we have your size in stock even if it is the last pair we have in stock in your size.
• The best way to get your shoes is to come by the store, try on our samples, pay at that time and we will order your shoes. 
• It takes 10 days to 2 weeks to receive the delivery at the store. Maps to Creative Dancewear
• Shoes cannot be returned after they have been modified or worn.
• Phone orders are welcomed at (405) 843-2545 M-F 10-6, Sat 10-5 CDT  To avoid delays and additional freight charges, we suggest that you are certain of the size you need before ordering.
• Decide if your shoe fits when you pick it up at the store.
• You are not expected to keep a shoe that doesn't fit properly.
• No freight charges for shoes sent to the store after ordering.  Shipping to residences from the store is an additional charge.
• We offer a free delivery to  OCU's McDaniel Center room 257 on Tuesdays.  details
• No restocking fees on unworn returned shoes with your sales receipt.

Miller & Ben Jazz Tap Master solid black in stock. Student discounts included in price.  Taps not included. Availability of this shoe from our supplier and our supply in the store is excellent.  Read about the special order period above.

Miller & Ben Jazz Tap Master RFD (ready for dance) This package includes the Miller & Ben Jazz Tap Master (above) solid black tap shoe with taps and skids attached and ready for dance.  We will take your shoes to Zeigler's shoe repair and have them add the taps and skids to your Jazz Tap Master shoes.  When the shoes are ready, you can pick them up at Creative Dancewear or have them delivered free to OCU's McDaniel Center room 257 on the Tuesday after they are ready.

Miller & Ben Triple Threat solid black. This shoe fits exactly like the Jazz Tap Master that we have at the store.  The only difference is that the triple threat has 3 soles instead of the 2 soles of the Jazz Tap Master.  Most instructors recommend the Jazz Tap Master for new students. We do not have any of the Triple Threat in stock.  We will fit you in the Jazz Tap Master and order the Triple Threat.  Stock from the manufacturer on this shoe is excellent.  Expect delivery in 10 days to 2 weeks after you purchase it.  There are no taps or skids attached to this shoe.

Note:  Capezio is having difficulty with the production of the K360 shoes this year.  We are expecting additional shipments by the end of October 2010.  Availability from Capezio is poor. As a result of the long delay, we will not have a try on period for the K360.  That means that if we have your the K360 in stock, you may take it with you at any time even if it is the last pair. If we are out of your size in the K360 our suggestion is that you consider the Miller & Ben Jazz Tap Master.  The Jazz Tap Master is made with a double sole and sells for $20 less than the K360.  (OCU does not require a double sole, but many dancers prefer it) Jazz Tap Master has become our most requested shoe from OCU students.

Zoot 730B with Capezio Teletone taps & skids attached. These shoes are ready for dance. Student discounts included in price.  If you are not intending to take many tap classes and want to save on your tap shoe purchase, this might be a good choice for you.  Availability from our supplier is excellent. See above for information about the try on period from August 8th through August 21st. 

Miller & Ben Special Make up shoes are not required at OCU.  If you are interested in ordering them then come by the store or visit with us about them.  Special make up shoes must be ordered by August 25, 2010 for delivery in mid October 2010. Jazz Tap Master (2 soles) & Triple Threat (3 soles) are the same price in the Special Make Up.  Swatches are available at the store, but the shoe you order may not match the swatch since the availability of leathers varies from time to time.  Miller & Ben will send you the color that you order from the swatch, but don't expect an exact match to the swatch when your shoe arrives.
