I'm
supposed to purchase full sole jazz
shoes. Do you carry them?
Yes, we carry the shoes you need.
The instructors do not want you to
purchase what we refer to as jazz
sandals. You should not be able
to see any part of your foot's flesh
or tights when your jazz shoe is being
worn.
The
sole of the jazz shoe can be flexible
and is what we call a "split" sole,
but technically the sole is
continuous. Only the composition of
the sole has changed. Hence, the
shoe has a full sole.
Tan jazz shoes should be manufactured
by Bloch so that all of the tan shoes
match. Black jazz shoes can be
made by any manufacturer.

I understand that you have a special
order period for tap shoes, is that
true for your other shoes?
No, all
other shoes are on the shelves ready
for you to take with you after you
make your purchase.
The tap
shoes are a special order from August
8th-21st 2010. This is to give
all students a chance to determine the
size of the shoe that they need and to
compare all of the styles. When
we have multiple shoes in a particular
size, we will sell all but the last
pair in that size even during the
special order period, but we will hold
on to the last pair in that particular
size and not sell it during the
special order period. If we
did not do this, we might sell out of
your size, and you would not be able
to decide what shoe you needed.
After August 21st, you can take the
shoes with you if we have your size in
stock even if it is the last pair we
have in stock in your size.
